How to make a custom cookie cutter
- Pick your design. Choose a ready-made shape, upload an image, or type a letter or name.
- Set the size. 60–100 mm suits most cookies. Keep details bigger than about 3 mm.
- Check the walls. A 1 mm blade cuts cleanly; go up to 1.2–1.6 mm for large cutters or a 0.6 mm nozzle.
- Download the STL and open it in your slicer (Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, Cura, OrcaSlicer). It is already oriented flange-down, so no supports are needed.

Tips for better cookie cutters
- Thin spikes and narrow gaps smaller than the blade thickness disappear; raise Smoothing to round them off deliberately.
- For letters and names, the grip rim joins nearby letters into one piece. Increase the rim width if letters come out separate.

- Images with gradients: slide the threshold until the preview matches the outline you want.

Is the cookie cutter generator free?

Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The image is processed entirely inside your browser, and the 3D model is built on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server.
What kind of image works best?
A bold, dark silhouette on a plain light background, or a PNG with a transparent background. Photos with busy backgrounds do not work well; trace the outline first or use a simple clip-art style drawing.
What size should a cookie cutter be?
Most cookies are 60 to 100 mm across. 80 mm is a good default. Tiny details below about 3 mm will not cut cleanly in dough.
Why does the preview look upside down compared to my print?
The preview shows the cutter the way you use it, blade down. The STL is saved flange-down so it prints without supports, and the shape is mirrored so the cookie comes out the right way round when you flip the cutter over. This matters for letters and names.
Can I make a letter or name cookie cutter?
Yes. Open the Text tab and type a letter, number or short name. Letters that sit close together are joined by the flange into one cutter.
